Mediation

Community Mediation Marlborough has been set up to provide a mediation service for the Marlborough community.
Community Law Marlborough is providing in kind support to establish the Community Mediation Trust and continues to support and co-ordinate the service.

  • Community Mediation is most appropriate for conflict prevention and resolution.
  • It increases and strengthens the capacity of the community to address conflicts effectively and affordably.
  • It is a process based on voluntary and confidential participation of the parties.
  • The aim is to encourage people who are in conflict to explore options together, and to reach acceptable agreement without involving the legal system.

Mediation sessions are confidential, conducted in private and can be arranged at a time to suit all parties.
We have a pool of experienced mediators who will provide a quality and professional mediation service for you.

Types of disputes that can be mediated are:

Family:
parenting disputes, day to day care and contact arrangements, parent- teen problems, elder issues.

Neighbourhood:

Community Groups:
